Dear Friends, As we begin our work to become an UCC Open and Affirming Church, it is important to get a idea of the current beliefs and feelings of the congregation. To help us, we are asking that you complete this assessment we have developed. This assessment has been created to gather and hear the opinions of all individuals in our congregation regarding our cultural shift to an open and affirming congregation and church. "Open and Affirming" is an official designation in the United Church of Christ (UCC) that means we fully include gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and non-binary persons (LGBTQ+) in our church life and ministry. These terms are used to describe a person's sexual orientation or gender identity. For a full list of terms and definitions, visit: https://gaycenter.org/community/lgbtq/. Your answers are completely anonymous even to the survey creators. The survey can be found here: SURVEY Printed copies of the survey will be available in the League Room for those unable to complete it on line. Completed assessments can be left in the church office. If possible, please complete surveys by Thursday, Sept. 21st. Many thanks to those who have already completed the survey. Please also be sure to attend the Bible Study beginning this Thursday evening at 6:30. Snacks and Refreshments will be available. This is a pivotal moment in the history of our church moving forward.
