News from UMC in regards to former Bishop Devadhar

Our former UMC Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar passed away unexpectedly last week. He had visited our church a few years ago as he tried to visit all the churches in the New England district.

The funeral service begins at 11 am on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Hyde Park Community Church, 1345 Grace Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio. The service will be live streamed. You can view the service of death and resurrection by clicking here.

6th Annual “Raise a Child in Haiti” Walk-A-Thon

Saturday August 5, 2023

Bristol Baptist Church Lawn (Back of Park)

Violence, insecurity and poverty are rampant in Haiti. The children at L’Orphelinat Notre Dame du Perpetual Secours are fortunate to get one meal a day, sometimes two. They go to school and to church. They are cared for by a small staff at the orphanage, and they need our support. Please help us raise these children.

Check in on the church lawn at 9:30am. Choose from a 2-3 mile walk on down town Bristol sidewalks or a 2-3 mile easy hike on the Bristol Trail Network.

There will be prizes for the most money raised as well as door prizes and refreshments after the walk.
