Meet the Leadership Team
Jessie-Ruth Corkins

Jessie has been here at BFC her whole life, growing up in the Sunday school programs and is now giving back by serving her church family in many ways. She is the youngest member of our leadership team and brings new and fresh ideas forward at our meetings. She has excellent communication skills and was instrumental in our search for an interim pastor. We often ask her to post information on Front Porch Forum. She also organized a very successful porch and lawn sale last year. Jessie works well with all ages and really shines when working with our younger folks, she has been one of the leaders on Children’s Sundays and Messy Church events. She often comes to church on Sunday bringing delicious treats for coffee hour!

Lenten Bible Study

Please join Mary Van Tol for a Lenten study beginning on Thursday, February 8 for 6 weeks. 7:00 PM-8:00 PM via Zoom.

"Finding Jesus in the Psalms, A Lenten Journey" by Barb Roose guides the reader through a meaningful encounter with the Psalms through the season of Lent. Combining an interpretation of the psalms with real life stories, the study moves through the familiar words of Psalm 23 toward the painful cries of Psalm 22 uttered by Jesus on the cross. The study includes reflections on the life of King David and the original context of the writings, along with connections between the psalms and the life and death of Jesus the Messiah.
